A few months ago I told you all about how I was on the hunt to find the perfect solution for a small office space that we could set up in our apartment for me to work from on a daily basis (see post HERE). I searched all over the web to find the perfect desk that wouldn’t take up too much space, and in the end chose the Sawyer Leaning Desk from Crate and Barrel. What initially drew me to this piece was its modern lines and lighter finish which doesn’t make the desk seem bulky.
It’s been 2 months since I’ve had it and I absolutely love it! It not only functions well for me, but has totally increased my productivity since I have a go-to work zone that isn’t on the sofa infront of the TV.
As soon as it was all put together I couldn’t wait to style out the open shelving! The 2 shelves serve as the perfect place to display photos, books, and items that have personal meaning.
Since the desk is narrow, I knew I had to find a smaller chair. I ended up finding this dining chair at Homegoods and decided to snatch it up even though I was on the fence about it. I really liked the leather back detail and nailhead, but wasn’t sure how it would look in our space. Once we got it home though it grew on me. I love how it’s a little different from all of the other furniture we have, and how it’s surprisingly very comfortable for a dining chair.
Another cool feature about this desk is that you can connect the Sawyer Leaning Bookcase to it to make it a larger unit. It makes it super easy to add more storage down the road and create your own look with the two different bookcase sizes they offer.
Hope you all have a great weekend friends! Also, if you missed last weeks project reveal you can read about it HERE!
